Grand Via
According to the travel book, "this massive avenue glows and pulsates with the sharp
lights of sex shops, McDonald's and five star hotels in a 24 hour parade of flashing cars,
swishing skirt, and stack-heeled shoes."  We didn't see any sex shops and only one
McDonalds. Couldn't vouch for the quality of the hotels.  The women frequently wear
skirts but usually with stilleto heals and zip up, knee high boots.  I'm not sure I know what
a "stack-heeled shoe is.  I did nearly get kissed when two lovers spotted each other from
different sides of the street and never noticed me standing between them.  I had to duck
and run to keep from being part of the greeting.
Some of the things that we noticed:
1.  The women are quite small.  Not just short but very slender to go with it.
2.  There don't seem to be many children out during the day.
3.  The day doesn't start in Spain for anyone before 10:00.
4.  There are more ornaments on the roof of the buildings than in all of America.
5.  There are no gargoyls in Spain.
