I won a carnival cruise for paying my rent on time. (Wow, what a feat.) Since Lester and I had just finished a cruise and he has a set vacation time, Mom and I went. We had a great time. It was a little interesting in that our port of call was destroyed by a hurricane just a week before we sailed. The cruise line found us a new port and therefore, a new adventure. We found ourself headed to Chichen Itza. It was sooo coool!

The last night at sea, there was a midnight bugffet. Our dinner waiter told us that it was a MUST to just see if not eat. It was incredible. I got mom out of bed just to look at it. Unfortunately, the food looked better than it tasted.

The ice sculpture above is a dragon. The chocolate thing here looks like it may be Neptune. Each picture is a thumbnail so feel free to double click the picture for a better view.

By the time I got back with the camera, the bread was nearly gone but you get the idea.

These are our freinds that we our dinner companions each night. We had a table for four instead of one of the big tables so we had a little more time to get to know who we were eating with. They also made good dance parteners for the after dinner entertainment in the clubs.
They are from San Antonio and maybe one day I'll run into them again.

And, finally, our waiter and ???. I never did know what his title was. The waiter is from the Phillipeans and the other is from Romania. Both seemed like the really enjoyed talking to their guests as much as the guests enjoyed talking.
