Germany
September 2006
As luck would have it.  Just when I got a new job, I also
got a chance to finally go see Dad!  What a wonderful
time I had too.  I'll have to do that again sometime.
Maybe a little sooner than later.
My first day in Germany, I got to wander alone
through the streets of
Frankfurt.  I have only been to
Frankfurt once and that was in 1996 when I went
there on business with Tricat.  The Lurgi engineer
that met us there walked us through the town and
showed us some of the sites but I didn't have a
camera and the tour wasn't all that long.  Click here
for the pic's!
On my second day in Germany, I took a self guided walking
tour of the amazing shopping district of
Darmstadt.  Nope, I
didn't buy a thing but I did take a couple of pictures.

After meeting Dad for lunch we took off for Frankenstein.  I'd
been there before, in 1991, in the snow.  Those pictures are
nice too but not digital!
And this, is Runkle castle.  Would someone get that car out of
my picture!  The bridge is used for daily traffic.  It was so cool.
Dad dropped me off and let me walk across it and meet him on
the other side.  What an amazing bridge!
I don't really know how to describe Limburg and the Limburg Cathedral.
What an amazing place.  It's a must for anyone who ever gets a chance
to go there.  And, for a really great picture, click on the thumbnail to get
a full size view of this incredible cathedral.
The cathedral on Cologn and some of
the town too.
